Train human resources who contribute to the national technological development, through the execution of academic and research activities and the development of projects with the industry and similar entities. Publish, promote and apply the best practices and innovations in design

VISION

In 2025, the Mechanical Design and Technological Innovation Center will be acknowledged as a high international level center for the high quality of its human resources at undergraduate and graduate levels. Additional to the high technological level of the research projects, it will have technological innovations and important areas of expertise.

GOALS

  • Train human resources at undergraduate and graduate levels in the development of research projects, technological innovation and teaching, mainly in areas related to mechanical and mechatronic design.
  • Realize academic activities, such as; teaching, development of thesis, publications, courses, seminars and conferences.
  • Carry out research and innovation projects that contribute to the development of high impact national technology.
  • Design, construct, test, redesign prototypes of technological development.
  • Establish links between CDMIT, companies and related institutions.
  • Promote a culture of technological innovation

  • Engineering Design: Design for X, product design, information models, artificial intelligence applications, innovation project management.
  • Automotive Engineering: Alternate fuels and structural optimization.
  • Teaching Design Engineering: Project-based learning, long distance learning, virtual reality, digital material, physical models.
  • Innovation in machine products and process: Original design, industrial automation, mechatronic design, intelligent controls, finite element analysis, clean mechanisms.
